Fog Bandit - Fog Protection
Even with the best intruder alarm equipped with 24-hr monitoring by an Alarm Receiving Centre, there is still a ‘window of opportunity’ open to thieves from the time the alarm is triggered to the time the police arrive. If your premises contain valuables that can be easily and quickly removed in that time then you could benefit from additional protection.
An effective and proven solution to this problem is the Bandit Fog System which can quickly produce enough dense fog to fill a stockroom or jewellery store or corner shop, reducing visibility to zero in seconds.
How fast does Fog Bandit deploy?
The lightning fast deployment of the Bandit Fog (see the video clips to the right) leaves intruders shocked and disorientated and almost always unwilling or unable to continue with the attack – robbery, assault, etc. So in a daytime or retail robbery scenario, staff, as well as goods, are protected from assailants. And there is little or no opportunity for intruders to damage premises. So Bandit can minimise or eliminate loss of stock and equipment, and reduce potential injury or trauma to staff – to allow your business and staff to continue operating with minimal disruption.
Of course Fog Bandit is not just limited to use in when premises are occupied. By linking the Bandit system to a Blitz intruder alarm, the fog is triggered when the alarm system detects a “confirmed” alarm state. This eliminates the risk of Bandit being deployed because of a simple customer error on entry or because of a fault on a single detector. In this way the Bandit will only deploy in a genuine or ‘confirmed’ intrusion.
Its important to stress that this is not “smoke”. The fog used in Bandit is made instantly by vapourising a mixture of water and food-grade glycol. It is completely harmless to people and animals and a has a pleasant mint smell so that it is not mistaken for real smoke! It can stay suspended in the air for anything up to an hour and leaves no residue once the area has been ventilated and the fog dispersed.
