Metropolitan Police Award
To add to its collection of industry awards Blitz security has also won the prestigious Metropolitan Police Gold Performance Award. The Metropolitan Police analyse the number of false alarms coming from every security company installing monitored burglar alarm systems in the London area. The companies with the highest levels of reliability are then honoured each year at a special presentation at New Scotland Yard.Â
Police figures showed that the average false alarm rate across all security firms in the London area was 0.94 activations per system per year. This means a likelihood of just under one false alarm a year from a typical system. By comparison, the rate recorded by Blitz systems is just 0.27 per system per year – making blitz systems almost four times more reliable than the average and the best of any installer in the capital.Â
